Your safety – staying safe
• Never interfere with safety equipment
• Familiarise themselves with the Health and Safety Policy
Training - It is a legal requirement:
• That you receive moving and assisting training every 12 months
• That you attend Fire Awareness training every 12 months
• That you attend COSHH Training every 12 months
• That you attend a Fire Drill every 6 Months
ACCIDENT REPORTING
Report all accidents, dangerous occurrences and incidents to the department Manager and record and document according to laid down procedure. Do not delay reporting an accident to your Manager who will ensure it is recorded on the computer and on an Accident Form.
BIOLOGICAL SAFETY
Biological hazards and associated risks can arise from all types of viruses and bacteria, staff should always make sure the correct clinical waste goes into the correct bags, the bags must not be overfilled and should be fastened securely with the tags provided and stored appropriately in the bin compound.
