Your safety – staying safe

STAFF FACILITIES

General cleaning should be performed including fridges, microwaves, sinks, work surfaces etc to ensure the area is maintained in a hygienic fashion

SECURITY

It is the responsibility of every individual working for the company to exercise vigilance in relation to security. Ensure that company property is not left unattended i.e. Laptops, Digital cameras etc. Beware of opportunist theft – beware of intruders. Anything of a suspicious nature should be brought to the attention of the Unit Manager. All visitors are to be identified at the front door of the buildings and must enter and exit via these doors. Induction training must always be provided for any new staff regardless of status. Emergency procedures should be readily available to all visitors or contractors on request. Safety induction refers you to the Health and Safety Policy of the company. Under the “Duty of care “explicit in the Health and Saf ety at Work Act 1974. We all have responsibility to each other. All staff in a supervisory position must be familiar with the Companies Health and Safety Policy, and recognise that they have responsibility for those whom they supervise. This means promoting and practicing good working standards, ensuring equipment is maintained in safe condition, ensuring that instructions are in place and are being followed.
