Public Interest Disclosure The Public Interest Disclosure Act 1998 encourages good practice within the workplace by encouraging all members of staff not to turn a blind eye to malpractice; this is particularly important in areas such as safeguarding and health & safety legislation. Further details can be found in the main policy folder on your unit. Smoking at Work The company operate a strict NO SMOKING policy anywhere within the NG Healthcare Centre for both staff and visitors. Smoking anywhere within company premises or grounds is only permitted in ONE designated area. It will be a disciplinary offence for any member of staff found smoking outside of the designated area. Similarly, it will be forbidden to smoke whilst in your uniform anywhere adjacent to the premises i.e. in the entrance to the car parks or outside of the grounds on view of the units etc. Transfer to another Unit/Place of Work Here at NG Healthcare we foster a ‘one team’ approach and i t is a condition of your employment that you are prepared to work on any of the units at the NG Healthcare centre. Should you be required to transfer to another place of work you will be given reasonable notice of such; the transfer may be for a temporary period or permanent. Any such transfer will be in the same capacity and carry the same terms and conditions as your previous employment; it will not affect your rights regarding continuity of employment. Use of Your Own Vehicle/Driving a Company Vehicle Should you be required, or elect, to use your own vehicle during the course of your employment you have a duty to keep it in a safe and roadworthy condition and ensure that you have the required insurance in place.
